The winter season is upon us and that means that it’s time to hit the ice, “Beat the Bitter” and  search for  fish! Take a Kid Outdoors will help kick off North Liberty's Beat the Bitter for our annual Ice Fishing Event.

Volunteers will be on hand to help you learn the basics of ice fishing, safety, equipment needs, techniques and fish ID. Free lunch included! This is a wonderful opportunity for kids and adults alike to enjoy the outdoors.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 5th from 11AM to 1PM at the Liberty Centre Pond in North Liberty. Parking is available at the Park and Rec Center as well as some limited on street. Dress for the weather and pack layers! A limited number of fishing poles will be available; please bring yours if you have one.

This event is FREE and OPEN to the public. DONATIONS are always WELCOMED and greatly appreciated as we rely on people like you to keep these events free to all!
